a.P.A.t.T. have been baffling audiences for nearly ten years now, stretching the constraints of what a musician is expected to be whilst constantly pushing their practice into new uncharted areas.
Live performance can feature multi-instrumental surprises, swapping and a rotating cast..Skilled and fluid.
Recorded output could be equated to visual collage arts like Schwitters or Picasso or in more extreme cases Ernst or The Chapman Brothers.
Projects have ranged from producing a live score of F.W. Murnau's Nosferatu with BBC Radio, walking the streets of Liverpool with cast of 30 performers to accompany Liverpool's prestigious Light Night all the way to multimedia installations comprising of film, motion sensors live performance and all delivered with an air of satire.

Recently a collaboration with Syndrome was to produce Syndrome Sessions 2.0: State-Free State of a.P.A.t.T.
" I was gripped and full of anticipation by the time the violins kicked in and the grand finale of sound and stimulating visuals ensued."http://www.artinliverpool.com/?p=52780

Undeniably unique yet carry on a historical musical lineage that runs deep in U.K. music: Bands with big ideas!...The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Cardiacs, Radiohead, a.P.A.t.T. .
Sounding like no-one yet reminding you of everything… sometimes at the same time. Your favourite mix-tape!

At times it does feel like we're veering too much into a 'happening', in particular when an a.P.A.t.T. member displays a mad-looking picture book to the audience and starts shouting and turning the pages while a piano-accordion gets played in the background. But despite the craziness, there's a total lack of pretension, and every single action on stage just feels right. " -LIVE REVIEW

a.P.A.t.T.'s full album entitled 'Black & White Mass' (Pickled Egg) is from the very outer limits of what pop music can be whilst being filled-to-bursting with sheer entertainment value that earned it 'Album of the Week' on Radio 1.

"To hear a.P.A.t.T. or more specifically their 'Black & White Mass' full length is to experience a musical odyssey like no other, avoiding the usual pragmatics of pop, they are a law unto themselves dabbling in sounds.'Black and White Mass' is THE first crucial full length of the year somehow I don't reckon it'll be topped in our affections though be warned it'll do your f**kin head in." - Losing Today about 'Black &White Mass'
